For the past 2 years I have been obsessed with these glasses. Lydiene and I first got introduced to the brand when we saw them represented by Are You Swedish? @Modefabriek. It was love at first sight (as it often is with products and brands that I like hahah). Hanneke, the founder and ever so lovely founder and owner of Are You Swedish? told us all about it and we were hooked from that moment on.
When we got the invite (I was literally omw home from work – which is also at a Swedish company – when I saw the email so that basically changed my day) from Hanneke to attend this super exclusive E&E brunch last Saturday I was thrilled of course. I couldn’t believe it. During the weekend of 27-28-29 September there was an ice hub on Museumplein here in
, in honour of the Swedish town of Amsterdam , which in 2014 will be the European
capital of culture. Erik & Emilia happen to be from Umea , so of course they had to be a part
of it. Umea
Due to the fact that the top floor could only carry the weight of 15 people, that was the amount of people that could be there. There were stylists and editors from ELLE, Code, Grazia, trendwatchers and high profile bloggers… And me.. Like.. How crazy is that. I felt so humbled and grateful for this opportunity. I’m still speechless just thinking about it.
The lunch (which of course was Swedish and super epic with the smallest cups ever. It made the whole thing quite stylish actually) was really nice, and Erik & Emilia are the nicest people you will ever meet. Nice and happy (I swear sometimes it seems like everyone in fashion is depressed or takes themselves way to serious to even allow a simple smile to slip away).
I wanted to get into the collection, but seeing as this post became too long I’m going to split it in half right here. If you want to hear about and see the pair of most epic shades ever that unfortunatly I will not be rockin’ you should definitely come back tomorrow for part 2.
P.S.: Big Shout out to Hanneke and Are You Swedish? for introducing me to all these cool Swedish brands.
